For the past many personal trips I have bought travel insurance from Sompo. For my upcoming trip, I did the same by visiting Sompo Insurance‘s website as usual while visiting this website, gobear.com, just to compare its usefulness.
I compared Sompo’s Travel Joy with HL Assurance’s Travel Protect 360 (found this via gobear.com). I was pleasantly surprised by how comprehensive and affordable Travel Protect 360 for a Family Plan (covers 2 Adults and up to 4 kids). Here’s a summary on its coverage:
I thought gobear.com is definitely worth a look if you are looking for a website for comparison if you want to buy travel insurance. Oh, one more thing, do note the travel info as follow:

Additional TIPs (if you have not booked your holidays):
– Expedia.com gives you lowest price guarantee if you can find another cheaper option (I tried going airline direct a few times, it all turns out more expensive after taxes, fees etc )
– You may also consider Zuji.com (with coupons using this link)
– If you used Trivago.com, or prefers to book direct to hotel chains, check out this link (you get additional 3% cashback or more on your next booking)
– One more thing, Hotels.com gives you one night FREE for every 10 nights stayed. This is essentially equivalent to 10% off. If you add the additional 6% cashback *till end June 2017, you save about 16%. Also, Hotels.com has the lowest price guarantee (I tried it and it works!)
